X-Men Star James Marsden’s Wife Seeks Divorce
James Marsden’s wife, Lisa Linde, has initiated divorce proceedings after 11 years of marriage. The wife of the star of Straw Dogs, Superman, and X-Men has reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the grounds for divorce, as per the documents filed in the court. Linde, mainly known as X-Men’s Cyclops, is seeking the joint legal and physical custody for their two children as well as spousal support.
A representative for James Marsden has said that the decision to divorce was mutual. He also stated that the couple continue to be great friends and are committed to raising their children together. James Marsden, 38, married Lisa Linde in July 2000. They have two children – Jack, 10, and Mary, 6. Linde is the daughter of Dennis Linde who was a country songwriter, famous for writing “Burning Love”, the 1972 hit of Elvis Presley. She has also tried her hand at acting, and made an appearance in nine episodes of the drama, Days of Our Lives.
Marsden’s gained popularity for his role in the famous X-Men franchise, and appeared in movies such as The Box, Disturbing Behavior, 27 Dresses, and Enchanted. He recently starred in Straw Dogs opposite Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth. The movie is a remake of a 1971 movie of the same name, which had Dustin Hoffman playing the same role. Marsden expressed excitement over his character in the movie with dark shades of villainy, and a complicated storyline.
Marsden was recently seen in New York shooting for his upcoming romantic comedy called Bachelorette with Isla Fischer and Kirsten Dunst (one of the worst actresses Hollywood has ever produced). He is also making an appearance opposite Liev Schreiber in Robot and Frank, which is due for release in 2012. While things seem to be moving fine in the career front, on the personal front it looks like Marsden is going to be single once again quite soon. It seems something has gone awry in their relationship.
